When: Sunday: December 14 at 6pm
Where: First Christian Church

Join us Dec 7 for a fun and festive gathering during the Sunday School hour as we gather to support our ministry partners. There will be 8 mission organizations represented and plenty of gifts you can purchase for loved ones to support their on-going work.

Imagine the faces of happy students as they unwrap a Christmas gift from First Christian Church!
Building upon the success of last year, First Christian will provide a grade-appropriate book to each student at Fain Elementary, our Partners in Education (PIE partner) school.
You can join the joy of this gift by helping to gift-wrap these books. Watch for information in early December about the “wrapping party.”

On Saturday, January 10, 2026, you are invited to Rise Against Hunger. That morning from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, we will be packing more than 25,000 meals for hungry people around the world. There are roles for the whole family – for every age and ability. Register now and model your faith through joyful service.

After all the waiting, the time has finally come. Gather your friends and family and join us for Christmas Eve and 6:00 pm or 11:00 pm as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the one who brings light from darkness and peace on earth.
This traditional Christmas Eve service includes a dramatic tableau of the story of Christ’s birth. We will sing the songs of the season, hear the “good news of great joy to all the people,” celebrate Communion with one another, and light candles as we sing Silent Night.
As one of the few 11:00 pm services in town, we will gather for a reminder of just what Christ came to do in our Carols, Candlelight, and Communion service. After the telling of the Christmas story, the celebration of communion, and the powerful singing of Silent Night by candlelight, we will pronounce the benediction and step out of the Sanctuary at midnight – into the early hours of Christmas morning with the strains of the season still fresh in our heads and hearts.

Here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect:
...and some fun surprises, too. We look forward to seeing you there!
Our Christmas Eve services are for all ages, so children are welcome to join in the service. Those participating in worship will receive a light-up candle, and can pick up a Children’s activity bag in the Narthex (lobby) before the service begins.
We also offer quality childcare for infants and toddlers during the 6:00 pm service.
You’ll find some in button-downs, sweaters, or dresses, and others in more casual attire. You are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable. What you wear is not as important as your presence with us.
First Christian Church is located at the corner of Taft Blvd. and Kirk St., across from Midwestern State University. Parking is available on the north and east sides of the building (with overflow parking available on the south side). Watch for festively lit golf carts moving through the parking lots to shuttle you to the front door.
Absolutely! If for any reason you can’t make our in-person service, you can always the 6:00 pm service live on Facebook or YouTube, or later on-demand.
