The Disciples Class is composed of senior adult couples and singles. Competent and inspiring teachers lead the class each Sunday morning, normally using the Bible Studies of the Cooperative Uniform Series. Music and song plays an important part of the Disciples’ morning’s worship. The members of the class enjoy a close bond of fellowship and concern for each other born of association and participation within all activities of the class and the church.
Since its beginning in the 1930’s, the class has initiated and participated in many projects supporting the programs of the church and is ever receptive to opportunities for service. The Disciples also are aware of the needs within the community and respond with their contributions and their service.
We are a class of independent-minded adults, both single and married in our 40’s to 70’s, who have one main point in common. We are interested in studying the Bible and applying the principles taught by the Bible to our own lives. We love the church and enjoy each other. Because we love the church, we are active in all phases of the church’s life. Because we enjoy each other, we take a lively, concerned interest in one another, in the class social activities, and in class projects.
The Young Adult Class was formed in 2013. It is comprised of 20 and 30 somethings. Some are married, some are single, some have children. We study different video series by ministers like John Ortberg and Max Lucado. The class is a relaxed setting, in which we use the books provided to discuss the topics from the videos and how they relate to everyday life. We enjoy learning, discussing and growing in our faith as a diverse group of disciples.
The Searchers Class is composed of a broad spectrum of Christian adults aged 50+ who are interested in seeking Biblical truths and applying them to our daily lives. We believe our lives are a process in which we strive for spiritual holiness, faith, and growth for ourselves through our relationships with God and those around us. We study lessons that are of interest to our members and have informal teachings and discussions led by class teachers who rotate weekly with open sharing of our knowledge, views, and opinions. We contribute financially throughout the year to many local agencies including Interfaith Ministries and Community Partners and also to church fundraisers including Coats for Kids, Thanksgiving meals, and our youth programs. We are most proud of generously helping a family in need each Christmas with food and gifts. Social activities are held several times a year for fun and fellowship.
The Discovery Class was organized in September of 1987 and is primarily composed of adults in their 30’s to early 50’s. Contemporary in our thinking, we explore a wide range of Bible-related study topics. We are excited about this adventure we call LIFE and know that a spiritual relationship with God is the only way to have a total experience. Come and share as we DISCOVER new beginnings in life through Christian fellowship.
We are an adult class that helps to meet the needs of our special members. Our curriculum is geared to the special needs of these people offering basic religious teachings, Bible Study and exposure to and participation in Christian Church rituals, communion and welcoming etc.
