Thank you for your interest in First Christian Church. We invite you to join us in one of our Sunday morning worship services.
When is worship?
Services are held every Sunday at 8:40 a.m. in our Chapel and 10:45 a.m. in our Sanctuary. Both are traditional services with a similar order of worship. Choral responses and anthems are included in our Sanctuary service only.
Informal acoustic worship happens every Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:00PM in Fellowship Hall. Come early for a family style meal at 5:30PM. Activities for children and youth follow worship. We call it The Neighborhood and everyone is welcome!
Where should I park?
Parking for the Chapel service is on the south side of the building along Church Street. Parking for the Sanctuary service is on the north side of the church along Kirk Street. The church staff parking lot behind the Sanctuary is available every Sunday morning for members and guests with special needs. Additional spaces are marked by the circle.
Which door do I use?
The entrance to the Chapel service is on the south side under the small steeple. For the Sanctuary service, most use the north side covered entry. For Wednesday night worship, look for the banner that says “The Neighborhood” on the north side near the soccer fields.
What should I wear?
You’ll find some of us in suits and dresses and others of us in more casual attire. What you wear is not as important as your presence with us.
What if I bring children?
A quality nursery for infants and children under 3 is available during our worship services. If desired, an in-house pager is available for parents so they can be reached during the worship service. Greeters are available to assist you in locating the nursery.
Children ages 3 years through 2nd grade are invited to participate in “Godly Play” during the Sanctuary service following the opening hymn and the Children’s Message. Godly Play allows children to worship and fellowship together in a special environment.
What if I have difficulty hearing?
An interpreter is present during the Chapel service for those who use sign language. Hearing aid devices are available near the entry doors for those in need during the Sanctuary service.
